The use of flow cytometry in the bioanalytical laboratory has grown considerably in the last few years, and it is now used widely as an effective research tool. Its clinical application continues to develop as research into new (biological) therapeutics and novel cellular biomarkers evolves. In this second episode of our Illuminating Flow Cytometry series we delve further into the use of flow cytometry in a clinical setting.
Barry van der Strate is Director of Bioanalytical Science at PRA Health Sciences’ state-of-the-art Bioanalytical Laboratory in Assen, the Netherlands. Barry joined PRA in 2008 as a Project Manager and currently leads the Science Department for Immunoassays. Barry’s field of expertise is the development of immunoassays for PK, PD, ADA and flow cytometry purposes.
